Konkel: Change is for the better

SCOTS VETERAN UPBEAT BEFORE FINALS OPENER

VETERAN Jade Konkel has seen a lot of changes to the Scotland squad over the past few years.

And the 31-year-old reckons those differences should help the team in their Rugby World Cup campaign, which kicks off with a game against Wales this coming Saturday in the Salford Community Stadium.

The Scots lost all three of their pool games at the last finals in 2022 in New Zealand.

But three years on there is a greater depth to the squad — and they have also had more time to prepare together.

Konkel said: “It’s probably hard to even think back to New Zealand.
