Scott takes an old, grey manager test

SCOTT ARFIELD felt “completely at peace” about becoming the new interim player-manager of relegated Livingston but is uncertain about taking the role in the long term.

The 37-year-old midfielder (below) was installed in the post for the final three games of the Premiership season, starting at Dundee today, after boss Marvin Bartley resigned on Thursday.

Arfield, who will be assisted by Grant Murray, Andrew Shinnie and goalkeeping coach Brian Potter, is adamant he wants to prolong his playing career, but will suspend the management question until matches against Dee, Dundee United and Killie are over.
