Israel bombs Gaza as talks on hostage release continue

AT least 52 Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes in the Gaza strip yesterday as ceasefire talks continued.

Among them were at least 15 people including eight children who died outside a clinic where they were queuing for nutritional supplements, according to the al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital in the central city of Deir al-Balah.

The Israeli military insisted it had killed a Hamas terrorist and that it regretted any harm caused to civilians.

Project Hope, the aid group that runs the clinic, said the attack violated international law.
