Short, shark shock

A WALKER was shocked after finding a fearsome looking cousin of the great white shark washed up on shore.

The six-foot long creature found near Wick in Caithness is thought to be a porbeagle.

It was already dead when spotted on rocks by Annemarie Simpson, who was out walking with partner Kev Stewart.

It was the second time in days that a shark has been found beached in Scotland.

Last week Joy Peacock discovered a nine-foot-long blue shark at St Ninian's in Shetland.
