DISGRACED former SNP health secretary Michael Matheson has announced he will step down at the next election.
The Falkirk West MSP said he wanted to seek “new challenges outwith frontline politics”.
He was hit with a record Holyrood suspension last year over his £11,000 expenses claim for a data roaming bill.
He lied to the media and Humza Yousaf insisted his friend had done nothing wrong before Mr Matheson was forced to resign in disgrace.
