Goalden boy Toure - a 'big asset' as Socceroos sweat on his fitness

IT is little wonder that the build-up to Australia’s World Cup opener against Turkey has been dominated by concerns over Mohamed Toure's fitness.

Such is the impact he has made in just three months at Carrow Road, it will be more than just the Aussies whose ears would prick at the prospect of his absence.

As Australia left-back Jordan Bos, of Feyenoord, said: “He's a big asset for us, he’s been doing really well at his new club, he's scoring goals and his power — everything about him - is great.”

The striker, 22, pitched up at Norwich in February as a relative unknown, signed from Danish club Randers FC for £2.6million.
