SCOT STROLLS TO FOUR SHOT WIN AT BALMEDIE

- By Keir Scott

GRANT FORREST served up a double Scotch as he savoured his second DP World Tour title win on home soil in the Nexo Championship.

The 32-year-old East Lothian ace was the toast of the Trump International Golf Links as he eased to a four-shot win.

His latest victory came almost four years to the week after his maiden tour triumph in the Hero Open at Fairmont St Andrews in 2021.

Forrest, leading by three shots overnight, stood on the 18th tee of the final round with a six-shot advantage and could even afford the luxury of a double-bogey seven to finish.

His closing 72 gave him an eight-under aggregate and a comfortable victory over England’s Joe Dean.
