Pregnant mum told she must wait a month for ceiling to be replaced

A PREGNANT single mother was left distraught after being told she wouldn’t have a ceiling in her kitchen until the middle of next month.

Paige Carlisle, who lives in Top Valley, is 32 weeks pregnant and became extremely concerned after being told that the water leaking through her ceiling contained asbestos.

When a leak in her toilet flooded her kitchen on December 14, she had to relocate everything to other rooms. It was the third time the toilet had leaked.

Dane Thomas, 22, father of Paige’s child, said: “There was about half an inch of water all over the kitchen.

“They sent around four to five workmen out, but none of them were able to touch the ceiling to even secure it, so it’s been in a derelict condition we can't even touch anything.
