Paedophile warned of horrors that await in prison if he reoffends

A JUDGE has given a city sex offender a stark warning of the horrors that would face him inside Nottingham Prison should he download just one more child abuse video.

Judge Stuart Rafferty KC told William Barclay the Perry Road jail “is overrun with young men running around, screaming, stabbing each other" and said to the 22-year-old “imagine what they would do to you if they found out what you were there for”.

The defendant, of Carlton, was caught with videos of both boys and girls and girls as young as eight being raped and sexually abused by adults for his own pleasure. But he later told arresting officers he “just scrolled through them" and did not have a sexual interest in children.
