It's beginning to feel a bit like Christmas as lights go up in Old Market Square

IT may only be the middle of October but preparations for Christmas are ramping up at a rapid pace in Old Market Square.

Workers have been draping thousands of fairy lights, including some in the shape of baubles and presents, on the Council House.

The work was being carried out just yards from preparations for the city's Winter Wonderland event, which is due to begin on November 12.
