NOTTINGHAM-BASED Experian has revealed it axed nearly 300 jobs in the past year in a bid to boost productivity.

- By JOSHUA HARTLEY

The multinational business services firm, which runs its UK operations from the Sir John Peace building on the NG2 Business Park, is one of the city's biggest employers.

However, it decided to slash its workforce by 271 in the year up to March 31, according to documents submitted to Companies House.

The firm's financial filings explained it had employed an average of 3,158 people in 2024, with this number dropping to 2,887 in 2025.

It involved a decrease from 1,659 to 1,443 development and delivery staff, 975 to 958 administrative workers, and 524 to 486 sales and marketing employees.
