Country park improvement pledge

THE developer behind a country park previously criticised for its muddy paths and dead trees has pledged further action to improve the area.
Hundreds of new trees were seen being planted at Archer's Lake park in Bingham in early March after a number were destroyed.
Campaigners claimed the previous trees were accidentally mown over by people working on the country park, an allegation which the developer has never denied.
Archer's Lake was promised by Barratt Homes as part of its 1,000-home development next door, and opened in November 2020.
