Knife thug went on to commit murder

A VIOLENT thug who chased a man down a street while stabbing him repeatedly went on to beat another man to death.

Leon Headey stabbed a man in Liverpool months before killing another man in Scotland

Leon Headey, 23, murdered Ross MacGillivray in Scotland just two months after he carried out his brutal assault in Liverpool.

The incident in West Derby happened in broad daylight on the morning of September 7, 2023.

Headey, formerly of north Liverpool and now of HMP Perth, was caught on CCTV chasing the other man down West Derby Road, stabbing at him repeatedly with a large kitchen knife. The victim ran and fell into the road, then jumped into a passing car, which was stopped at the traffic lights.
