Healthcare proposal for recruitment

East Ayrshire's Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has set out its plans for dealing with recruitment difficulties.
The HSCP's workforce plan for the next three years includes bolstering traditional recruitment routes with the use of social media.
The report to the service's Strategic Planning group cites an example of a local resident who trained to become a qualified dental nurse after being hired through a community Facebook group.
The difficulty in hiring people for key posts such as GPs, pharmacists and therapists is at the centre of the HSCP's workforce plan for the next three years.
