Flash PMIs are released a few days before the actual PMI numbers and they include more than three-fourths of the responses that go into the calculation of final PMIs. India became only the eighth country in the world to launch a Flash PMI reading in January this year.
The manufacturing and services flash PMIs came in at 56.7 and 62 in February, respectively, marginally more than the final print of 56.5 and 61.8 for January, according to the statement.
