Accordion and fiddle players mark major anniversary

All together Marking the 60th anniversary held in the Crichton Golf Club.

The Dumfries Accordion and Fiddle Club returned to their 'first home' at The Hole i' the Wa' to mark 60 years since it started ... a first for Scotland and the world.

Special guests were invited to be part of the celebration evening. First on stage was John Douglas and his SDB featuring John and William McRobert on accordion, Liam Stewart on piano and Rob Dorrance on drums.

After a lively two or three sets of tunes, Iain Cathcart, the current chairman of the National Association of Accordion and Fiddle Clubs, was joined by Northumberland fiddle player Roddy Matthews, accompanied by Liam on piano, whilst the drummer was Ian McRobert.
