LESSONS IN PURPOSE-BUILT SITE WHILE SCHOOL IS REBUILT
STAFF and pupils have relocated to a purpose-built temporary building while their new school is being constructed.
It marks the first phase of Newhall Junior School's inclusion in the Department for Education’s (DfE) School Rebuilding Programme.
The Swadlincote school - part of the Lionheart Educational Trust - is scheduled for a full rebuild under the national initiative to modernise educational facilities.
To maintain continuity of education during the demolition and reconstruction of the permanent building, pupils are now being taught in temporary accommodation located on the playing fields of neighbouring Mercia Academy.
