AMBITION TO RAISE AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE FOR NEO-NATAL UNIT TO HELP 'GIVE BACK'
GRATEFUL parents Dave Alcock and partner Sarah Coxon have praised medical staff for helping to deliver and care for their baby girl.
Chloe was born 15 weeks early and now her parents are raising money for vital equipment to help other premature babies on the ward.
Sarah, herself a neo-natal nurse, unexpectedly went into labour towards the end of March, according to Dave.
He said: “The Royal Derby Hospital does not have the facilities to cope with such young babies and so Sarah was transferred to the hospital in Wolverhampton.
“But hearing that Sarah was a neo-natal nurse and had colleagues at the Queen's Medical Centre, arrangements were made to transfer her to Nottingham.
