Charging hub set for town's shopping area

A NEW electric vehicle (EV) charging hub is set to be installed at the Maltings in Uttoxeter.
-
The new hub, which also includes integrated solar panels, will bring 12 fast EV charging points to the town centre.
By generating renewable energy through its integrated rooftop solar array and supplementing from the local grid, the installation delivers a cleaner way to recharge EVs while supporting the UK's transition to net zero transport.
The unit will generate up to 18MWh of clean electricity annually from its 42 solar panels, providing enough power for approximately 64,000 miles of emission-free electric vehicle driving.
