Card cancelled in memory of Mikey

THE track where Michael O'Sullivan suffered a tragic fall has cancelled its next race meeting "as a mark of respect" The 24-year-old Cheltenham Festival winning jockey was riding at Thurles when seriously injured on February 6.

Known as "Mikey", his mount was one of three fallers at the final fence.

O'Sullivan had been in Cork University Hospital's intensive care unit ever since where he died in the early hours of Sunday.
