French landmark is rusting and cracked
THE Eiffel Tower is riddled with cracks and rust, leaked reports reveal.
The Paris landmark, which is made of iron, is being given a repaint for the 2024 Olympic Games in the French capital.
But the 133-year-old tower, which was designed by Gustave Eiffel, right, needs to be completely stripped back, repaired and repainted to stop rust.
