Shaken star feared she was stabbed

BROADCASTING legend Selina Scott was left traumatised after she was violently robbed and assaulted by an organised gang.

The 74-year-old was attacked in broad daylight after she left a Waterstones book store near Piccadilly in London.

The former ITV reporter said the group of around eight thugs looked like normal passersby before they brutally turned on her.

Shocked Selina thought she had been stabbed as she tried to fight off the yobs who were trying to steal her designer handbag.

They eventually managed to unzip the bag and ran off with her purse, which contained her bank cards, cash and driving licence.
