Epidemic of fast food, off licences and pubs 'setting people up to fail'

THE most unhealthy high streets in Scotland have been revealed, with Glasgow home to four of the top 10.

The Independent Pharmacy analysed more than 400 UK high streets on the density of takeaways, pubs, sweet shops, vape stores and gyms, as well as air quality figures.

Glasgow's Dumbarton Road came out as Scotland's unhealthiest. The street, which is the country's longest high street at 1.05miles, boasts 19 pubs, 10 off licences, 20 takeaways, and only one gym.
