KEEPING Scotland's NHS running costs an awful lot of money.

The health service's budget is £21billion this year alone. It will almost certainly rise further next year.

And yet, the NHS estate faces a combined repair bill of more than £1.5billion.

Politics is about priorities and it seems that when it comes to health spending, fixing leaking roofs or poorly insulated windows isn't always top of the list.
