Woman struck three police officers in town disturbance

A WOMAN was sentenced yesterday after striking three police officers when a disturbance broke out in Rhyl.

On June 21 this year officers had gone to carry out a welfare check on Sarah Prendergast, when two men starting arguing nearby and a crowd gathered, Caernarfon Crown Court heard.
When officers tried to move Prendergast, who was intoxicated, away from the disturbance, she struck an officer “lightly” on the back, who then tried to arrest her.
