Lammy's pledge as war rages on

DAVID Lammy yesterday promised Britain would not turn its back on Sudan as the country's civil war entered its third year.

The Foreign Secretary opened a summit in London to highlight one of the world's worst humanitarian crises that has killed up to 150,000 people and left an estimated 12.7 million displaced.

Foreign ministers from around 20 countries attended the one-day event at Lancaster House in London yesterday.
