Souness speaks to ill mate Hansen

FOOTBALL legend Alan Hansen is on the road to a full recovery from serious illness, his pal Graeme Souness believes.

Former BBC pundit and Liverpool and Scotland fan favourite Alan, 69, was rushed into hospital earlier this month, being supported by his wife Janet and children Lucy and Adam.

Graeme, 71, told how he had spoken to his old team-mate in hospital and was reassured because he sounded fabulous. He added that Alan was joking with him, which suggests he is fighting back.
