My wife's 25-hour trolley trauma

A PENSIONER has spoken out about his wife's ordeal of a 25-hour hospital corridor wait.

Carol Upton, 70, who was suffering from an infection, was placed on a trolley at Southport Hospital on Merseyside in June.

Husband Ralph, 73, told the Mirror: "I don't think it's satisfactory that anybody when they're unwell are laying in a corridor. To be honest with you, it's quite embarrassing for both them and visitors."
