Howe insists Toon have ‘moved on’ but admits Isak a hard act to follow

EDDIE HOWE insists Newcastle have “moved on’ from the summer saga ‘surrounding Alexander Isak’s acrimonious move to Liverpool.

But the Magpies boss conceded they are still making up for the loss of the Swedish striker on the pitch.

As Newcastle began preparations for this season, Isak quit the club’s training camp before engineering his £125million move to Liverpool by going on strike.

Howe is full of respect for Liverpool, but heads to Merseyside looking to end a long run without a Premier League victory at Anfield that stretches back to 1994.
