A WOMAN whose dad was saved by a shepherd in the Second World War is repaying that moment 80 years ago by helping the farmer's disabled great-great granddaughter
Sue Frecklington's father, Captain Philip Rogers, was stationed in Iceland in 1943 to stop Nazis invading.
He was caught in a blizzard which killed several members of his platoon but shepherd Meyvant Siggurdson found and took him in.
They stayed in touch for the rest of their lives and their families bonded too.
