WEPL Bedminster have to settle for a tie after run out off the final ball
Bristol Post

JOE Millard was run out off the final ball of the match as high-flying Bedminster had to settle for a tie at home against Burbage & Easton Royal in WEPL Premier One.

The Bristol side began the last over needing nine for a win. The tension ratchet up several degrees as Lewis Davies sent down two dot balls before Millard struck the third delivery for two and then levelled the scores with a six off the next.
But ball number five was a dot and the all-rounder was run out off the final delivery, for 44, as Bedminster bagged 15 points to remain second behind Bridgwater.
Fahad Sabir had earlier top-scored on 50 and skipper Matty Brewer hit 45 for Bedminster after Burbage had been dismissed for 225 after losing the toss. Former Somerset favourite Pete Trego top-scored on 42, as Elliot Mason captured 3-49 from eight overs.
