Mum and three daughters 'left with almost nothing' after fleeing house blaze

A MOTHER and her three children who lost almost everything after they narrowly escaped the ordeal of a house fire will now face the devastating task of having to start over.

Vicky Savage, 44, and her three girls ran out of the front door of their house after their tumble dryer reportedly caught alight in the early hours of Friday morning in Lord Street, Rishton.

Two appliances from Hyndburn and Great Harwood arrived to tackle the blaze - they got there inside 10-15 minutes according to a witness - with firefighters managing to stop the fire before it spread to other properties.

But extensive damage was caused to the accommodation resulting in the loss of most of their belongings.

A GoFundMe campaign has been started to help the family, who are now homeless and relying on the generosity of others.
