When Light Finds You

IT'S UNMISTAKABLE. Even through the grainy digital window of Zoom, Corbyn Besson's eyes are absolutely agleam. He isn't just happy he's thrilled about why his happiness is so readily obvious. The source is his latest single, the worlds-splicing 'Blink', which features TZUYU of the titanically popular K-pop girl group Twice.

Some careers change quietly; others transform in a flash. 'Blink' represents both. For Besson, once the honey-voiced heartthrob of the billions-streaming boyband Why Don't We, the latest single marks more than a career milestone. It's a turning point. Written during a restless stretch of his life, the song is a declaration of creative autonomy, and a light illuminating a new path forward.

“This is the one that's closing the year for me,” he says, still sounding astonished at its momentum. “When TZUYU sent her vocals over, I knew it was perfect.” The collaboration—a flirtatious, high-energy groove built around glances that change everything—has taken flight faster than even he expected. Within days, it swept in millions of views and streams, catapulting both artists into a fresh orbit. “I wanted to end the year with a bang,” he says. That fulfilment is both literal and figurative.
