Tell us a little about yourselves and what sparked your interest in sharing your home on Instagram.
We've always been drawn to the outdoors. Weekends usually found us sitting in our camping chairs, sipping coffee and nibbling on bakes while chatting beneath the trees. The quiet of camping became a treasured rhythm — a way to pause, be present, and savour the moment. That's what inspired our Instagram account; its name, snaildays, serves as a gentle reminder to slow down in a fast-paced world.
When we got our keys, it felt natural to extend that sense of documentation from the outdoors to life at home. Just like our camping rituals, our home is rooted in intention. These days, we share glimpses of slow mornings, home updates, and little kitchen wins, the small but meaningful things that make a house feel like home.
How would you describe your home’s design approach and the style that resonates most with you?
The both of us are naturally drawn towards different materials. I love the warmth of dark wood, while my partner likes the look and feel of industrial materials like stainless steel and concrete. There's a line from a poem we love — “I think when you approach decorating simply by going for things you love, it naturally guides everything to come together.”
“I'm building a home for myself, where the floors can be painted yellow, and the tables can be painted blue, because there is no right way to do anything, except to do it with you”. That sentiment guided many of our decisions, as we wanted our home to reflect both of us equally.
