A Soft Minimalism That Breathes

From glass blocks to patterned tiles and soft lines, this home is proof that the cream aesthetic can be anything but dull.

If you've spent enough time on Taobao, you'll probably be familiar with the “cream aesthetic.” Featuring soft curves and a palette of off-whites, the look has gained traction, especially among apartment dwellers, for good reason. It keeps even small homes looking bright and airy and serves as a canvas for furniture and decor to shine.

But pulling off this aesthetic without veering into “boring beige” territory takes skill, and it was a challenge that Founder and Interior Designer of Studio Kabi, Tyler Lim, gladly took on.

When Cheryl and her husband first met Tyler, they had three simple requests. Their home had to be dog-friendly, host-friendly, and homebody-friendly, since they often work from home. Oh, and they had one design must-have: glass blocks.
