Being attentive to what we do, always, is our duty

In life, we do not maintain a certain level of awareness or alertness at all times.
Usually, we are involved with one emotion or the other, and because of that, our attention is not on the activity we are engaged in; we do our work mechanically. We are sitting in one place and our mind is somewhere else. We are doing some work and the mind is wandering to something else, busy experiencing some emotion or thought. This becomes typical of a person's nature especially when he or she is in the grip of his/her emotions. Emotions overpower the personality to such an extent that we are not aware of what we are doing and where we are going. So, this is one situation.
