There's anarchy in the aisles on a supermarket night shift in ITV2's new six-part sitcom Transaction! After an marketing mishap leads to fictional grocery chain Pellocks being accused of transphobia, manager Simon (Nick Frost, The Nevers) tries to avert a PR nightmare by hiring transgender woman Liv (comedian and singer Jordan Gray).

But when Liv realises that her position as the public face of the company's commitment to equality makes her impossible to fire, she seizes the opportunity to create chaos on the shop floor for everyone, including her colleagues, Tom (Thomas Gray, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder), Millie (Francesca Mills, Silent Witness) and Beefy Linda (Kayla Meikle, Coma).

So, Jordan, what was the inspiration for Transaction?

JORDAN I originally wrote a sitcom with two comedians hanging out in a comedy club. But the executives said that was too insular and asked me to set it somewhere more relatable.
