Buried SECRETS

Y GOLAU: DŴR

NEW SUNDAY, 9PM, S4C DRAMA (BOX SET, BBC IPLAYER)

The first series of Welsh thriller Y Golau (The Light in the Hall) had viewers hooked with its gripping story of a determined journalist, played by Alexandra Roach, embarking on a dangerous mission to find out the truth behind a cold-case murder in her (fictional) home town of Llanemlyn.

Three years on, the mystery drama is back for a second six-part run with the same setting, but with a new cast and plot. Y Golau: Dŵr stars Hostage's Mark Lewis Jones as Rhys Owen, who was jailed for the murder of his cousin Llŷr during a protest against the expansion of a local reservoir in 1995.

When Rhys returns to Llanemlyn, his case attracts the attention of journalist Caryl Huws (Hidden's Siân Reese-Williams). She believes he may have been the victim of a miscarriage of justice and her digging uncovers a web of betrayal and secrets.
