As chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani heads India’s most valuable company by market value. A billionaire with an estimated net worth of $91.2 billion, he is the richest person in Asia and the 13th richest in the world. Over the years, his wealth has made a four-fold increase, surging from ₹1,65,100 crore in 2014 to about ₹8,08,700 crore, helping him reclaim the title of Wealthiest Indian, surpassing Gautam Adani. Among his many achievements, he has created the world’s largest grassroots petroleum refinery in Jamnagar, and is the first non-American to be on the board of the Bank of America.
Reliance Industries also owns the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians, and Mukesh has founded the Indian Super League, a football league. There was no stopping him even when the pandemic hit the world; he raised investments worth $20 billion for Jio Platforms, fulfilling his promise of making Reliance debt-free. Through acquisitions in various sectors, he has strengthened his position in the market, emerging as the infallible victor. Armed with leadership skills, management abilities, and business acumen, his vision to build a business empire has put him in the top spot, and we cannot not be awed by his thunderous success.
