You see, I've had a first-gen KTM 390 Adventure since February 2020; five years ago, it ended my aversion to other forms of 390-derived discomfort that had persisted since 2012. The Duke was too small and the RC, well, never mind. Back then, the plan was to roam the country with a camera and books in tow, simply going wherever the road took us.
