On a scale of one to 10 how was your last race?

Ten. Everyone was saying it [the South Coast Classic] was going to get split up early… I’d identified who I wanted to be in a break with but I didn’t want to go too early — we’re going around there for nine laps. So I try and sit quietly for a bit, which I’m not very good at. And then you hit the climb, and you see a gap. It was like, “Now, let’s go.” There was about six or seven of us away that then got whittled down to three. That was Claire Steel and Leah Dixon, who are both really good climbers, and me. From then, to be honest, the three of us were just having such a nice day out — it was so beautiful. There were moments we had to remember that we weren’t out for a Sunday social.

Was that your biggest win to date?
