There is something awfully familiar about the beautiful blonde woman walking along the beach towards New Idea in a colourful kaftan, when we arrive in Queensland.
Indeed, 33 years have passed since dating game show Perfect Match played cupid to its last couple, yet former co-host Kerrie Friend is instantly recognisable even with the wind dancing around her hair and a pair of cute heart-shaped sunglasses covering her eyes.
“My life isn't perfect. Whose is? But it's about as close to perfect as you can get," Kerrie tells New Idea. "I'm still with my very own 'perfect match' and we've just celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary. He's the love of my life.”
Kerrie and husband Kenn celebrated the milestone on Fitzroy Island, a romantic and secluded tropical island near Cairns. The Noosa-based couple spent an idyllic week snorkelling and swimming on the Great Barrier Reef.
