Go big or go home-for decades the perception of beauty always lay in the laps of extravagance. From Audrey Hepburn's breakfast-worthy winged eyeliner to Marilyn Monroe's striking red pout, Kim Kardashian's power contour to Kylie Jenner's plump pout, beauty trends have mostly steered towards being larger than life. They came, they saw, they conquered, making a statement strong enough to last a lifetime. And then came a shift - one that gently swept the world with a downsized minimalistic approach, free of expectations, notions, and norms, paving the way for a more realistic way of living. Less is more became the mantra and it seems to be having a positive effect on our skin and mind as well.
