Pooja Khemka’s app, myskoolbus, works on the GPS positioning system to track schoolchildren while they are being ferried in the school bus. Designed keeping in mind three groups of users—parents, school authorities and bus drivers—it is not too high-tech, yet a powerful tool that allows you to track your little children with relative ease, thereby allowing you peace of mind when your children are out of sight.
Of humble beginnings
While Pooja Khemka’s family originally hails from Kari, a village in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, the lady herself was born in the small town of Bhuj in Gujarat, where she also grew up. Though part of a conservative Marwari family, she considers herself lucky to have parents who stood by her in every endeavour. Despite some opposition, she joined college and later convinced her parents to allow her to study chartered accountancy (after her graduation) and finally received her CoP (Certificate of Practice) in 2013. Initially, she worked for a private chartered accountant firm and then with the Welspun Group in Gandhidham, Gujarat.
