Audacious Individuality  If there is an immutable truth in art it is that artists with a unique vision inevitably achieve success. And in hard rock over the last twenty years there are few groups of such audacious individuality as the mastodons of Finnish rock Apocalyptica. The group’s history began with a joke: as students they were passionate fans of Metallica and once played their favourite group’s hits on cellos for friends. The stunning success of the experiment determined their future. Indeed, the name of the group is a play on words — a combination of “Apocalypse” and “Metallica”. On 22 April the titans of Finnish alternative metal will perform their legendary programme dedicated to the music of Metallica at the Oktyabrsky Concert Hall.
