Our anniversary falling in the month of November proved to be a bit of a conundrum for us. Anniversaries are for celebrating. So is this time of year, given the spate of festivals around the country. But, for so many people across the nation, celebration and festivities aren’t on the cards. We’d like to honour them, but also honour… hope. Moving forward for all of us, as a collective. What better way to do that than by invoking LIGHT? That’s the theme of this issue. May it light your path, soothe your pain, signal something new – we all need the healing, joyful, comforting power of light. Now, more than ever.


Our four Paralympian champions on the cover are the very definition of light. The obstacles they’ve overcome to follow their paths are astounding. Yet, talking to each of them reveals happiness, determination, strength and focus. We applaud them, along with the rest of India. We also turned to the real professionals of storytelling to bring you a very special Big Story. No, not us (this time!). We approached our favourite poets and authors to pen down original stories, verses, and personal thoughts around the theme of light.
