La pandemia, el cambio climático, la pérdida de ecosistemas y de biodiversidad o cualquiera de las emergencias que afronta hoy la humanidad, y que amenazan su supervivencia condicionando el futuro de la especie, no acabarán en un país mientras no acaben en todos los países.
En realidad, no se trata de un problema técnico o de mercado, de la pervivencia de un modelo económico, o de los avances tecnológicos que certifican la obsolescencia de la industria. Tampoco de una ideología cuyos paradigmas se cuestionen y ponen en entredicho una manera de vivir y de pensar. Es el desmoronamiento de una concepción del mundo en el que la conciencia colectiva sucumbe ante la tiranía del ego. Una cuestión moral ante la cual la sociedad no puede permanecer indiferente.
La poeta Giannina Braschi, colaboradora de Cambio16, lo ha expresado incitando a la revolución ética de los nosotros. Una acción plural, global y unitaria destinada a lanzar comunidades de esperanza que contribuyan a la construcción de un mundo más humano, justo y regenerativo.
Jorge Neri Bonilla, editor de Cambio16, ha delimitado este argumentario. «La unidad rige este mundo. La raíz de todos los problemas que vivimos, y los que apenas se asoman con el cambio climático, siempre es la misma: no entender la fuerza de la unidad en el plano personal, social y medioambiental».

Tú eres mi esperanza es el lema que ha marcado los Premios Cambio16 en su 50 aniversario. Han sido distinguidas personalidades, instituciones y organizaciones que han sabido transformar su vida y erigirse en modelos de convivencia y referencia. Se puede cambiar el mundo desde la unidad, la solidaridad, la igualdad, el equilibrio, la salud, la cohesión, el bienestar y la paz.
