El pintor venezolano Juan Vicente Gómez Landaeta Pájaro (Caracas, 1952), autor de la portada de la edición 2.270 de Cambio16, nos invita a desentrañar el enigma del universo como si de un sueño se tratase. Ha asumido que la realidad es monótona y repetitiva y que solo se puede romper mediante el encuentro con el auténtico ser, entre la espiritualidad y la contemplación, que alimenta el alma de las cosas en comunión con la naturaleza.
Mucha gente hoy dice que hay que cambiar, que el mundo tal como lo conocemos no tiene recorrido, que está agotado, que no hay futuro, pero muy pocos son los que realmente creen que el cambio es posible. Y menos aún los que están dispuestos a dar el paso para buscar nuevos paradigmas, a trabajar y esforzarse por otro modelo de convivencia, de producción, de consumo, de preservación de los recursos naturales y la biodiversidad.
La pandemia que estamos sufriendo ha puesto de manifiesto la sustancia de la amenaza, pero la verdadera esencia de los retos que afrontamos radica en el cambio climático, en el tiempo que nos queda. Conscientes de este desafío, que ha devenido en ultimátum, en Cambio16, bajo el impulso del editor de la publicación, Jorge Neri, hemos puesto en marcha el movimiento social Cambiemos, cuya finalidad es que todos arribemos al mismo destino: un mejor o nuevo mundo, más humano, justo y regenerativo.
A este objetivo se han unido líderes sociales de la talla de Mario Alonso Puig, especialista en gestión del estrés y autoayuda; la investigadora Pilar Mateo y el secretario general de WWF España, Juan Carlos del Olmo. Gigantes de la nueva humanidad que ya están propiciando el cambio en sus ámbitos de actuación a sabiendas de que cuando uno mira desde el espíritu donde antes se veían límites ahora se ven posibilidades.
