If you were thinking that connecting with our spirituality is some sort of fluffy, new-age practice, then think again. Not only is it a necessary aspect of our self-enquiry, but it could also be a much-needed reprise in our modern-day world, a place where animosity and segregation seem to be on the rise.
Gone are the days when the term ‘spirituality’ was associated with bearded monks meditating in secluded caves for hours on end. Like much of the natural health industry, spirituality has undergone a profound and much-needed refresh. As a result, a new generation of smart, successful women are recognising the need for spiritual guidance. To aid you on this journey, we’ve outlined some profound ways to effect change in our lives, from connecting with our spirit through physical practice to understanding the energetic component of our food and tapping in to the divine feminine energy that lies at the heart of us all.
Connecting with our spirit helps us to develop more awareness, so that the next time we notice ourselves expressing judgement, we’re able to ask: What kind of energy am I emitting to the universe? What do I want to attract? If we want more love, acceptance and compassion, perhaps it’s time we show it to others. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
