The New Year has arrived, bringing with it a blank canvas upon which to etch opportunity. Forget about setting new goals and resolutions and become a ‘better you’ by mapping out all the dream destinations and adventures you want to experience over the next 12 months – my attention is already being attracted to the paradisical vibes of Southeast Asia, the lush rainforests of South America and of course, the opulent luxury of the GCC.
In Thailand, Sarah Freeman explores the ornate waterside temples and ancient artisan neighbourhoods of Bangkok, before rejuvenating with a stay at London’s newest spa-centric property, Park Hyatt London River Thames. Across the river, Matthew McQueen gets a taste of laid-back luxury with an assortment of spa treatments and handmade chocolates at COMO Metropolitan London. Meanwhile, Joe Mortimer catches up with The Lux Collective CEO, Oliver Chavy, to discuss the brand’s growth into the uber-luxury safari market and upcoming properties.
As for me, I find myself in the delightful Moroccan capital of Rabat, where I enjoy a stay at the newly opened Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr. Next, I hop over the African continent to indulge in idyllic island vibes in the Seychelles, before returning to Dubai for a well-earned relaxation experience at the plush Dior Spa.
